It is only during disaster that we see the ‘true colors’ of people and the cultural characteristics of people. The Japanese as a whole are disciplined, committed and highly devoted. I’m confident Japan will get over from this disaster and rise again from the ashes, like what it did after 2nd World War

Obviously all this would have come out at trial – which won’t happen now. Despite the CIA’s refusal to disclose all their other CIA and Blackwater operatives to the Pakistani government (who’s not cooperating in the war on terror?), Pakistan has launched their own investigation of 414 Americans with diplomatic passports who serve no diplomatic function. Hopefully it will also shed light on the role of CIA “freedom fighters” in the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in the terrorist violence on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The Pentagon/CIA make no secret of their desire to see energy and mineral rich Balochistan secede from Pakistan to become a US client state – just like energy and mineral rich Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and the other former Soviet republics.

Moreover there’s no way to ascertain whether random acts of terror in the border regions are caused by the Taliban, Al Qaeda or the CIA-funded BLA. However there’s no question that CIA-sponsored BLA terrorism is responsible for much of the violence – especially around the Chinese-built port in Gwadar, Pakistan (employed to offload Iranian oil destined for China). Given that Iran and China are major political/economic rivals, it’s a pity the US media fails to report on any of this.

understand the western powers are very tired of intervention after Iraq and Afghanistan, but after reading about Gaddafi’s recent interview with some journalists during which he threatened to work with Al Gaeda, with his past track record in bombing commercial planes, you have to take his words seriously. Whether to intervene or not to intervene is no more a question of whether should you help the rebels? The question is whether the western powers are willing to risk this likelihood of Gaddafi sponsoring terrorism against soft western targets in the future ? Since the uprising, western powers have imposed sanctions against him and France even went to extent of granting diplomatic recognition to the rebels. For sure, after Gaddafi finishes off the rebels, he will seek revenge against the western powers. Out of defense, the western power may have to launch a 3rd Desert Storm to protect its interests. My view has now changed and I think western power can’t afford to stand by to see him wipe off the rebels. At least, if can’t overthrown him, let him get bogged down on a protracted civil guerilla warfare so that Gaddafi has no time to export terrorism
