What will become of Beijing’s proudly apolitical “non-interference” policy, not to mention its multi-billion yuan investment in the continent, when the transformation inevitably occurs? The Chinese leadership would be much wiser to focus its attention on the growing unrest in Africa rather than on its scattered band of frustrated dissidents at home or abroad.”
